Programming
Let's face it. Computers are dumb. Without qualified programmers to write
instructions for the computer, it has nothing to do. To many, programming may
seem a bit intimidating. After all, there are numerous programming languages
that exist for several different purposes. Programmers must learn each
applicable language for their needs. As with other professions, commitment and
knowledge of the latest technologies moulds a programmer into a "code warrior".
That is all we enlist at Hypersite.
The art of programming involves identifying all the needs for the client.
Needs may exist that extend beyond the current project. Most needs are unknown
to the client until we identify them. The target user of the program plays a
major role in the early phases of development. A program may be intended for
internal use on a local area network on MS Windows computers. It may be a portal
to a company's product line that is to be viewed over the Internet by the
public. Other programs may span both worlds and form an interesting hybrid.
Hypersite's staff of programmers is certainly capable of distinguishing the
proper solution for you.
Some of our clients have specific requirements. Our skill set includes the
following languages and technologies:
- .NET
- Active Server Pages (ASP)
- Hyper-text Markup Language (HTML)
- Visual Basic Script (VBScript)
- JavaScript
- Dynamic HTML (DHTML)
- Extended Markup Language (XML)
- Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Visual Basic
- Delphi
- Visual C++
- C/C++
- Perl
- Microsoft Access
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Crystal Reports

Database Design
A database is vital for dynamic content. It is a store for related data.
Programmers can provide the necessary interfaces to create, modify and delete
the data. It is then written to the appropriate database. Most applications
store data for one simple reason, to report on that data. Without the data there
are no reports to view, but without reports the data is just there. In some
cases, an application can make the data "work" for some purpose. For example, a
website may implement a database in order to sell products online. The resulting
program would allow a user to view products based on search criteria or simple
categorization; a basic report. However, the real benefit comes to light when
the user finishes shopping and supplies credit card information to purchase the
selected products. The combination of program and database becomes your product
catalog, product displays, salesperson, cashier, clearing-house and advertiser
all at once.
Hypersite can make this a reality for you. Our extensive database experience
becomes your experience. It all begins with database design. We spend a
considerable amount of energy on the design phase. A well-planned database is
crucial to a successful dynamic application. The application may be a
specialized accounting system for your network or an e-commerce solution for the
Internet. Whatever your data needs are or will be, Hypersite can not only light
the way; we can build the way.
